Residence Hall Assignments for Transfers
When making housing assignments for transfer students, Residence Life takes into account a student’s preferences as well as their year in school in order to assign them with other students of a similar year in school. Mid-year transfer students who have only completed one semester of college will likely be assigned to live in one of our first-year halls. Students who have completed two or more semesters of college will likely be assigned with other returning students or with other transfer students in our two Transfer Houses.

The On-Campus Living Requirement for Transfers
Transfer students who enter with one semester completed at another college/university are required to complete the remaining three semesters of the requirement on campus with St. Thomas. Transfers having completed two or more semesters at another college/university are waived from the on-campus living requirement. Read the complete On-Campus Living Requirement.
