Faculty & Staff Technology Portal (Intranet)
Our university intranet provides quick navigation to employee resources including apps, tools, and technology services.
This section will orient you to the first steps and common technology tools that will support you as a St. Thomas faculty or staff member. Review these pages to prepare for your arrival and to begin engaging with the community.
Your account allows you to access digital resources at the university including email, collaborations tools and personal records.
St. Thomas provides desktop and laptop computers to faculty and staff members. Your hiring manager will request a computer for you based on your needs.
St. Thomas uses Microsoft Office for our campus email (Outlook), file storage (OneDrive), and more. Office comes pre-installed on all St. Thomas computers and is also available virtually through OneStThomas, our intranet.
St. Thomas recommends using Office 365's file storage apps which can be accessed from any web browser. Editing Office 365 documents on your desktop automatically saves them to the cloud, and a backup of each file is created.
Printing costs are automatically charged to your department. Your computer may already be connected to a nearby printer but instructions for printer set-up can be found in the technology help center.

Quick steps for getting started and connecting with the St. Thomas community.
Your strong password protects the entire university. To simplify password management, St. Thomas provides LastPass (a secure password manager) for all staff.
Maintain good technology hygiene by keeping your operating systems and applications updated. Doing so will help minimize technology issues on your devices.
Saving your data to OneDrive, our cloud storage system, will keep your projects secure. We recommend working from OneDrive when possible or frequently saving offline data to OneDrive.
St. Thomas will never ask for your username & password in an email. Verify before clicking on links in emails, even if the sender is from St. Thomas, and report any suspicious activity to phishing@stthomas.edu.
