Sites that Inspire: Light in the Darkness
December 6, 4-5:30 pm
Join us for a tour around and through the Chapel of St. Thomas Aquinas and the Iversen Center for Faith to experience the beauty of our campus, which shines even during the cold and dark days of winter.
We'll begin inside the Chapel with a musical performance and an invitation to take in the beauty of the sacred space. From there, we'll visit the Deceased Student Memorial by artist James Dinh and the amphitheater outside the Iversen Center – lit up at night – before returning inside for a stop at the art installation "Tell Me a Story" by Mary Griep. At each stop, our guides will share what the site means to them and the connections they experience with beauty, goodness, and truth. We'll wrap up with hot beverages and treats in the Iversen Center, hear from our Claritas director Mark McInroy on the significance of these "sites that inspire," and have an opportunity to share our own responses.
