Professional Licensure Disclosures: Counseling Psychology - MA

Professional licensure requirements vary from state to state. Students should be aware that licensure requirements are subject to change periodically and may include educational or degree requirements, professional examinations, background checks, character and fitness qualifications, work experience, fingerprinting, and other requirements. Completion of a St. Thomas program does not guarantee employment, licensure, or certification in any profession.

The Master of Arts Program in Counseling Psychology provides students with 3 career paths:

  1. Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPC/LPCC)
  2. Joint licensure as an Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) and Professional Counselor (LPC) and Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)
  3. Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
