Academic Counseling

The Academic Counseling department advises undergraduate students about their academic interests, degree requirements, course registration and degree plans. We help students make meaning of their academic experiences and support the development of strong academic skills like time management, goal-setting, note-taking, habits and motivation.

The Academic Counseling team is available via virtual or in person meetings, or phone or email conversations.

What's Your Major?

College students get asked this question all the time. Many incoming students have specific ideas about their intended academic major. It is also perfectly fine for students to be undecided about their academic and career plans. St. Thomas offers more than 150 undergraduate academic majors and minors. The Academic Counseling team can help students understand the enrollment details associated with all of these academic programs.
